In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service and assisting with various pharmacy-related tasks. Duties: - Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and dispensing - Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality - Answer phone calls and address inquiries from patients and healthcare professionals - Provide information on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects - Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate medication orders - Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of IV infusion, inhalation, and medication administration techniques - Follow aseptic technique protocols to ensure the safety and sterility of medications - Perform inventory management tasks, including ordering and restocking medications - Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and maintain compliance with pharmacy policies and procedures Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification as a pharmacy technician is preferred - Previous experience in a hospital or acute care pharmacy setting is highly desirable - Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of pharmaceutical abbreviations - Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately perform mathematical calculations - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues - Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of aseptic technique principles for handling sterile products We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
