  • About this Role:
As the Agronomic Innovation Chemist you will serve as the liaison between the chemistry lab and greenhouse. This role combines Bench Chemistry, so there are times where you'll be in the lab assisting with conducting experiments and Greenhouse Trial work, which involves running trials within the greenhouse surrounding the products that are being developed in the lab. This connection between Chemistry and the Greenhouse provides you with a phenomenal opportunity to be involved in your experiments from start to finish. You'll collaborate with our Research Chemist and Agronomic staff to take the products being developed in the lab and create research protocols in the Greenhouse that will ultimately guide you as you run experiments. Key Responsibilities:
As a part of this position you can expect your primary work to be focused on the following activities:
    • Accurately organize time between the Chemistry Lab and Greenhouse (please note that this will ebb and flow depending on the time of year, meaning you may have instances where you're more focused on one area over the other).
    • Assist with product development within the chemistry lab by conducting experiments and adhering to laboratory standards.
    • Develop research trial protocols for Greenhouse experiments and collaborate with Agronomy team to run experiments within the Greenhouse.
    • Analyze experiment results, conduct statistical analysis and connect with research team to discuss preliminary findings and engage in preparation for report writing.
    • Collaborate with research team to enter and evaluate data. Ensure that data is maintained and managed appropriately to allow for meaningful presentation to appropriate stakeholders.
    What We're Looking For:
To successfully perform the key responsibilities of this position, a competitive candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
    • 3-5 Years of Bench/Wet Chemistry experience. This includes a background in conducting experiments and adhering to laboratory protocols.
    • Previous experience writing research reports and presenting those findings to a group of stakeholders.
    • Previous background in Agronomy. This can be from an academic or industry setting.
    • Greenhouse Trial experience surrounding row crop or specialty crops.
    • Experimental Design, where you were responsible for either creating protocols or you played a key role in the development of this process.
    • Exceptional communication and relationship building skills to not only collaborate with multiple groups, but inspire and educate stakeholders surrounding our research trial work.
    What We Offer:
How We Support Our Staff From Employment to Retirement:
