Job Summary: This is supervisory work involving the performance and coordination of routine, complex, and specialized laboratory analyses, and the operation of highly technical equipment in an environmental analytical chemistry laboratory.

Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, limnology, botany, zoology, environmental science, or a field directly related to analytical chemistry and five years of professional experience in laboratory analysis. A chemistry degree is preferred.
A master's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, limnology, botany, zoology, environmental science, or a field directly related to analytical chemistry can substitute for one year of the experience described above.
A doctorate from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, limnology, botany, zoology, environmental science or a field directly related to analytical chemistry can substitute for two years of experience described above.
Comparable professional experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
