Chemical Technician determines the physical and chemical properties of compounds and materials using quantitative and qualitative chemical analysis. Performs a variety of chemical tests using instrumental methods and standard test equipment. Being a Chemical Technician prepares materials for laboratory examination and conducts quality, safety, and compliance assessments. Follows established SOPs. Additionally, Chemical Technician sets up and maintains lab equipment. Records and tabulates data and documents observations and results. Requires an associate degree in chemistry, science or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Chemical Technician works under moderate supervision. Mission:
To work closely with the Refining Supervisor in order to meet the expectations of daily, weekly and quarterly goals set forth by customer needs throughout multiple functions of the refining process.
This individual should be able to work independently, have a strong work ethic and be willing to learn different areas of precious metal refining in incineration, ball mill, strip tanks, bead blasting and blending.
This candidate should be good with numbers. A clear communicator and self directed AND OR some experience in the recycling industry
