Operates equipment and monitors the production process to ensure efficient and safe output. Being a Chemical Plant Operator follows standard operating procedures and performs in process quality checks to identify and resolve issues during processing. Troubleshoots problems with equipment, respond to system notifications and makes required adjustments as needed. Additionally, Chemical Plant Operator enters required production data and information into logs. May unload or move materials. Follows all procedures for safe material handling and required safety gear. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or team leader. The Chemical Plant Operator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.     Kadiak, LLC is currently hiring a Plant Operator Supervisor in support of our government customer in Washington, DC.

    The Plant Supervisor will need to possess:
    • High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
    • Individuals performing within a supervisor type of role shall possess at a minimum four (4) years of experience in supervising operators working in an industrial wastewater pretreatment or chemical process plant.
    • Shall be knowledgeable in how to use Human–Machine Interface (HMI)/ SCADA software which operates the applicable portions of the Plant. This software is run on various computer(s) that are located in the Plant office and in the plants.
    • Shall hold a current Association of Boards of Certification (ABC) Class III or higher Wastewater Treatment or equivalent certification
    • Shall be fluent in the English language both verbally and written and be able to read and understand English.
    • Shall be U.S. citizen
    • Shall be proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
    Working Environment & Conditions
    This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
