We're representing a longstanding manufacturing client in Salt Lake City, helping their team identify a Chemical Engineering candidate for a newly created position; Process Technology and Quality Manager.
Our client is focusing on Chemical Engineering / Process Engineering experience, with the ability for this individual to oversee an existing and well-functioning quality program.
Position Overview:
Process responsibilities
• Manage and coordinate the technical process activities associated with plant operations to ensure safe, environmentally compliant, efficient, and high-quality outcomes.
• Provide mature technical leadership and knowledge of relevant technologies.
• Monitor First Pass Quality and Yields and lead projects to improve to target levels.
• Apply statistical process controls to assist operations with assuring production processes remain in control and product is meeting specifications.
• Conduct analysis and lead projects using Lean, Six Sigma and manufacturing technology to increase production capacity and stability.
• Lead process design and expansion projects
QA responsibilities
• Be the primary point-of-contact for quality issues and projects.
• Manage, mentor, and develop the plant QA and process team’s capability.
• Lead QA activities to ensure the quality of raw materials, of finished goods and the production process capability.
• Ensure a robust Quality Management System for compliance is in place.
• Lead plant compliance and inspection-readiness efforts for the FDA and other quality management regulatory agencies
• Maintain current SOPs and training materials as needed to ensure production associates can be trained for job proficiency.
