About you and this role As the Debt Capital Markets Treasury Director, you have the responsibility to define the strategy and counsel senior management on access to Debt Capital Markets, capacity and associated costs; design, plan and execute new debt issuance; develop strategies for liability management actions to optimally design the company’s global debt maturity schedule. You will proactively manage the global banking relationships to ensure appropriate access to banking capital and adequate borrowing facilities. You will develop and administrate lease contract for capital assets. You are also responsible for the Company’s supply chain program management. The Debt Capital Markets Treasury Director exercises functional guidance and leadership by executing, monitoring and managing company’s funding strategies, collaborating with multiple functions/processes (Operations, Compliance, Systems, Planning, Financial Risk Management, Legal, Accounting, Tax, Office of Corporate Secretary, Investor Relations, Public Affairs and Banking Partners). Responsibilities Ensure access to various Debt Capital Markets for new Debt Issuance under the most efficient structure (SecReg, 144a, callable notes, foreign denominated debt, hybrid structure, etc.) navigating evolving economic and market conditions, tax regime changes, regulatory complexity, accounting requirement, and corporate financial commitment to external investors. Collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups within and outside the company on sustainable financing solutions. Lead the Sustainable Finance Committee, manage leadership approvals, communication strategies, and stay informed about regulatory environments and market conditions. Implement robust tracking mechanisms for sustainable finance projects and expenditures, ensuring transparency and accountability. Serves as trusted capital markets advisor to the company counseling senior management on access to debt capital markets through the most cost-efficient structure, capacity and associated costs. Build and manage complex and dynamic excel to Bloomberg based dashboards to support proactive communication of opportunistic actions in our funding strategy to senior leadership. Responsible for management of company’s Senior debt portfolios to optimize the $15B debt portfolio through a multifaceted strategy, incorporating considerations of interest expense and curve extension while ensuring compliance with its debt covenants, monitor accuracy and timeliness of payments. Design and execute Deleverage strategies which include tender offers, make whole calls and open market repurchases to accomplish debt reduction. Cultivate strong bank relationships to enhance liquidity and borrowing capabilities, maximizing financial flexibility; negotiate and administer various facilities such as revolving credit facility, bilateral lines, working capital facilities and term loans. Review, negotiate and implement leasing transactions, ranging from small operating leases to structured leasing arrangements. Manage the administration of the Supply Chain finance program of the Company expanding utilization globally for efficient use of working capital. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline OR relevant military experience at a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class, Sergeant ranking or higher A minimum of 6 years of total experience with a focus in financial/capital markets-oriented positions, and/or other relevant experience. Knowledge and understanding of: economics macro and micro variables, their determinants and their basic interaction; understands financial concepts and principles as well as financial market instruments and dynamic; corporate finance, risk management, asset valuation, financial statement interpretation, accounting; financial risk instruments and respective accounting implications, be able to interpret analyze and produce state of the art financial forecasting models, etc. Analytical thinking with ability to analyze complex financial instruments and recommend optimal strategies. Proficient as user of software such as Microsoft office (Excel in particular). Knowledge of Bloomberg, SAP, Quantum FIS Able to make decisions with limited information, demonstrate strong negotiation skills, work under pressure and high market volatility, prioritize competing priorities, leverage knowledge through the team. Decision making is relevant, evaluation of risks and opportunities, detailed knowledge of businesses and strong knowledge of internal control requirements and related policies and procedures. Strong written and verbal communication skills and negotiation skills. Interpersonal skills: able to lead cross-functional teams and represent the company in negotiations with financial institutions. Role requires strong people leadership across the region managing direct and indirect reports to ensure proper alignment, best practices, focus resources and efforts, motivate teams, and provide guidance and coaching for people with various and diverse backgrounds. A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process. Preferred Skills Master’s degree (MBA with a finance focus preferred). CFA, FRM or CTP certification are preferred. Prior experience in Treasury Financial Risk Management and Financial Planning is desirable. International experience is a plus. Understanding of global financial markets and financing instruments, corporate finance, risk management, asset valuation, accounting principles and financial statement interpretation, business/financial law, strong knowledge of internal control requirements and related policies and procedures.
