Charge Nurse jobs in Washington

Charge Nurse plans, directs, and evaluates the overall nursing care and functions in a particular nursing unit or during an assigned shift. Coordinates the activities of the unit and directs, organizes, and assigns work to the nursing staff. Being a Charge Nurse assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary. Additionally, Charge Nurse requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Charge Nurse supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Charge Nurse typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Position Description

    Description:
    We are looking for a Nurse Manager who will plan, coordinate and supervise the delivery of nursing care within the treatment facility. You will serve patients daily in a multitude of ways: • Oversees quality assurance activities and compliance to operational and regulatory standards • Provides supervision, day-to-day guidance, consultation, trainings, and leadership to employees • Participates in program development and implementation of operation policy and procedure • Determines staffing levels and assignments, bases on census, acuity, and staff availability. • Monitors and coordinates the daily patient care activities of the unit under the director of the nursing leadership team Must haves:
    • State Licensure as an RN • A minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience
    • Must have management/charge nurse experience
    Bonus Qualities:
    • Experience working with mental health patients preferred • Supervisory experience preferred • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.N.) preferred

    Pay: $44.86 to $56.01 per HOUR
