As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This is a vital role that requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to effectively manage a team.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff on assigned shifts
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Provide direct patient care as needed
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures, medications, and self-care techniques
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols

Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license
- Proven experience as a Charge Nurse or in a similar leadership role
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of best practices in nursing care
- Experience administering injections and performing various medical procedures
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (Cerner preferred)
- Specialized knowledge in pediatrics, ophthalmology, or dementia care is a plus
- Understanding of workers compensation laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment
