THIS IS AN ON-SITE (MONDAY-FRIDAY) POSITION
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for charge capture entry for Emergency Department and Observation hours/services.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. On a daily basis (business day), identifies chargeable items and enters charges for Emergency
Department and Observation records.
2. Assists in implementing solutions to reduce back-end billing errors/edits.
3. Works collaborative with Coding, PFS and Patient Access to resolve modifier/edits
4. Participates in continuing education and other learning experiences
5 Works with PFS/Patient Access/Coding on other duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION: Prefer coding/billing certification. Knowledge of Medical Terminology required
EXPERIENCE: Prior experience in healthcare setting; prefer basic coding/medical billing experience
