The Health Information Management Department at Barrett Hospital & HealthCare invites applications to fill a Charge Capture Analyst position to join our team of professionals. The Charge Capture Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient charges and supporting documentation to produce compliant patient billing and associated reimbursement. Incumbents must demonstrate the ability to read medical records, have an understanding of medical services performed, and discern the correlation of such services to corresponding charges. An in depth understanding of outpatient charging methodology is strongly preferred. As a member of the Health Information Management team, the Charge Capture Analyst is required to coach clinical staff in accurately documenting billable medical charges. Self-motivation, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills are a must for success in this position. Candidates who have a strong passion for customer service excellence, outstanding computer skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize unexpected requests will be strongly considered.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma, GED or equivalent required. Preference will be made for candidates who possess three years’ of medical billing, coding, or charging experience.
