How You'll Contribute:

A Hospice Chaplain plays an important spiritual role in their patients' lives.  As a Chaplain, you'll offer spiritual support to patients and families, and be responsible for implementing and coordinating the spiritual support in accordance with the hospice plan of care.  Hospice Chaplains honor each patient’s spiritual beliefs and respect the family’s cultural traditions.

What You'll Bring:

• Graduate degree e.g.: Master’s Divinity or Theology preferred or equivalent theological education.
• Minimum two years pastoral experience in a hospital or community ministry preferred.
• Certificate of Ordination preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to be open, flexible and ecumenical.
• Experience counseling patients and families who are dealing with terminal illness.
• Demonstrated understanding of hospice philosophy and principles.
• Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation, and ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and in good working order.
