- Providing companionship and conversation
- Performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and linen changing
- Planning and preparing meals
- Providing medication reminders
- Providing transportation to and from appointments/errands.
- Helping family members learn safe care techniques
- Establish good relationships with clients along with providing emotional support.
- Interact, communicate clearly, and encourage activities with the elderly.
- Observe & report any changes with the client immediately to the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS- Preferably one year plus experience working in the home care industry.
- Demonstrates professionalism, Positive Attitude, and sincere interest in elderly clients.
- Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect
- Ability to interpret the client’s provided plan of care
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
- Tolerance to small pets (i.e. dogs or cats)
- Must be able to be reached via phone or email for shift schedules, client updates, and emergencies
- Prior experience with dementia patients and senior care, a plus!
