We are seeking a Credentialing Specialist to join our team! Here at Argus Medical Management/ ProHealth we have been in business since 1995 and are one of the few successful physician practice management companies in Southern California! We own and manage over 200 clinics in Long Beach and surrounding cities.
Duties:
- Process and manage all aspects of credentialing for healthcare providers within a managed care organization.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Collect, review, and verify provider credentials, including licenses, certifications, education, and work history.
- Conduct primary source verification of credentials through various databases and organizations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider files and databases.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external entities to obtain necessary documentation and information.
- Assist in the development and implementation of credentialing policies and procedures.
- Monitor expiring credentials and initiate the recredentialing process in a timely manner.
- Respond to inquiries from providers regarding their credentialing status.
Requirements:
- Experience in credentialing within a managed care setting.
- Knowledge of credentialing standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Familiarity with credentialing software systems.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
