Certified Respiratory Therapist jobs in Florida
Certified Respiratory Therapist assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. Being a Certified Respiratory Therapist also measures the lung capacity of a patient to determine if there is an impairment. Requires an associate degree and a credential of Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT). Additionally, Certified Respiratory Therapist may be expected to maintain a CPR certification. Typically reports to a manager. Certified Respiratory Therapist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certified Respiratory Therapist candidates will have the following job responsibilities:
- The CRTT demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient.
- The Respiratory Therapist / Technician is responsible and accountable for the planning, directing and provision of nursing care to patients in accordance with the Florida Respiratory Care Practice Act, physician's orders, recognized Respiratory Care techniques, policies procedures, established standards and administrative policies.

Certified Respiratory Therapist candidates must meet the following minimum job qualifications:
- Associate Degree
- Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT)
- BLS, PALS, ACLS must be obtained within 30 days
