Certified Nursing Assistant - Hospice performs various direct patient care activities for terminally ill patients in a hospice environment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists patients in dressing, undressing, bathing, eating, walking, and other activities. Being a Certified Nursing Assistant - Hospice ensures patients' safety, well-being, and comfort. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Additionally, Certified Nursing Assistant - Hospice helps patients take medications. Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Maintains documents and records related to patient care. Follows all relevant safety guidelines and regulations. Communicates with patients, their families, and other care providers. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Requires State License. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager. Certified Nursing Assistant - Hospice's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. POSITION OBJECTIVE:
In this role, you will care for patients in our Hospice Home on Homestead Road in Fort Wayne, IN and in the field.
To provide safe personal care and support for the terminally ill, in the hospice facility, under the direction of the Patient Care Director and/or RN Case Manager.
