CRNAs are responsible for administering anesthesia and monitoring patients before, during, and after surgeries and other medical procedures.
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
• Develop and execute an effective anesthetic plan
• Manage the patient’s airway and respiratory status
• Monitor patients before, during, and after a medical procedure
• Documentation of Anesthesia Care
• Participation in programs designed to address quality improvement and peer review issues, as appropriate
• Giving both pre-op and PACU orders to Registered Nurses which should be agreed upon in collaboration with the attending physician and documented appropriately.
• Remain up to date with the latest advances in the anesthesia field including the introduction of new medical equipment or techniques
What we are looking for:
• Current certification by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) and the current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Michigan
• Previous clinical or hospital experience, preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Must successfully pass a background check and a drug screening
