Certified Medication Technician administers prescribed medications to patients and maintains related medical records under immediate supervision. Administers medications using proper dosage, route, timing, and techniques. Being a Certified Medication Technician verifies the identity of the patient receiving medication. Records the name of the drug, the dosage, the time of administration, and any other relevant information on specified forms or records. Additionally, Certified Medication Technician takes vital signs and observes patient to detect response to medication. Follows all relevant safety guidelines and regulations. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager. Pharmacy Tech - Dispensing Role Description
This position is responsible for the daily operation of the automated packaging and dispensing equipment, creating trays for automation, and fulfilling bulk and blister (bingo) prescriptions. This role shares the responsibility of keeping the dispensing area organized and tidy. This position may assist in other areas of fulfillment, such as toting and shipping.
Pharmacy Tech - Toting Role Description
The Toting Technician is responsible for packaging prescription orders, ensuring all orders are in the appropriate package, applying the correct shipping label, and meeting the applicable courier deadlines. Your role is to ensure the correct orders reach our residents on time, every time.
