Certified EHR Trainer jobs in Arlington, VA
Certified EHR Trainer conducts technical training programs for end users of EHR (electronic health record) software applications. Determines training objectives and creates lesson plans and other materials needed for training. Being a Certified EHR Trainer configures the training environment to ensure end-users can practice using EHR software both inside and outside of the classroom. Designs and delivers new hire training and ongoing user training during system changes and upgrades. Additionally, Certified EHR Trainer may be responsible for implementing a credentialed trainer program that ensures EHR instructors have the required level of system knowledge to effectively deliver training. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Typically requires Epic/Cerner or similar certification. The Certified EHR Trainer gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in athletic training.
- One (1) year of progressively more responsible clinical experience as a certified athletic trainer.
- Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
- National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) Board of Certification certified athletic trainer in good standing and eligible for a Virginia Board of Medicine license; Virginia High School League wrestling weight control program certified measurer or willing to become one.
- Proficiency in applicable database software.
- Ability to become a member of NATA District 3 and the Virginia Athletics Trainers Association.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Experience in a secondary school setting.
- Educational license with an endorsement in secondary education.
