Ceramics Engineer, Sr. develops manufacturing processes and equipment for converting ceramics into useful products. Tests various combinations of materials to create ceramics that that are durable and economical. Being a Ceramics Engineer, Sr. researches and selects the appropriate hand and power tools to be used in the production process. Tests finished ceramics to ensure quality, consistency, and durability standards have been met according to specifications. Additionally, Ceramics Engineer, Sr. requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Ceramics Engineer, Sr. typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. JOB DESCRIPTION
Day to Day:
Skiltrek is seeking a talented Sr Substation Engineer that provides project management, project estimating, design engineering, permitting, procurement management, and closeout for the District's substation projects. Performance is measured by safety, reliability, operability, and economy of assigned projects.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Must Haves:
Bachelor degree in (Structural/ Civil / Electrical) Engineering degree (ABET-accredited degree)
Professional Engineer (PE) certificate, NERC, or other relevant industry-level education / certification or means for completion within six months.
5 years of equivalent engineering work experience. Master's degree may be considered for up to two years of experience
Experience with of all aspects of installations within discipline.
o Create design documents, technical specifications, and drawings for new substation projects (electrical plants, schematics, bills of materials, and equipment specifications)
Valid Driver's license
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Plusses:
Experience with Ventyx (Asset Suite), Cognos, AutoDesk (CAD, Inventor, Vault), Bentley MicroStation, PeopleSoft, SharePoint.
Master's degree in Engineering or Business.
Experience researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and presenting recommendations.
Electric utility substation design and construction experience
Understanding and application of NESC, OSHA, ASCE, etc. as it applies to Substation design and construction methods
Thorough knowledge of OPPD's T&D, Substation and Generation system.
