The Supply Tech supports the delivery of services to UnityPoint Health-Des Moines (UPH-DM) through the efficient and timely management of supply and equipment resources using LAWSON functions and Mobile Supply Chain Management.

• Demonstrates initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations.
• Practice reflects knowledge of HIPAA, DNV, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare.
• Demonstrates the knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors, accidents and infections and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately.
• Receives stores, count supplies and restock par levels, issues and distributes material accurately.
• Assists with maintenance of supply levels with accurate and timely data input and use of the “Out of Stock” list.
• Meets or exceeds standards of compliance for all accreditation and regulatory bodies, commissions, etc., in reference to Central Supply.
• Assists with the relocation of supplies, equipment and furnishings as assigned.
• Receive goods and track appropriately using hospital current tracking computer system, includes tagging capital equipment and logging information into the medical tracking devise data base.
• This position may be assigned a specific mission to address in an emergency situation to assist in disaster response and recovery as part of the UPH-DM Hospital Emergency Incident Command System. Situations of a critical nature may require an individual to perform multiple tasks until additional support can be obtained.
• Maintain a clean orderly environment.

HS diploma or GED equivalent. Must read, write, speak and comprehend English fluently. Must have ability to learn basic computer skills.
