GENERAL SUMMARY
The individual will be responsible for Social and Wedding accounts; managing account base consisting of unsolicited inquiries, repeat business from the same origin and appropriate accounts as assigned. Responsible for the sale of the business, then arranging for servicing the entire customer needs for food and beverage and meeting rooms. Candidates must have open availability including occasional evenings, weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position requires careful attention to detail, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to establish strong relationships with clients. Responds to all unsolicited sales inquiries fielding them in a timely manner and avoiding wherever possible the need to call the customer back.
Maintains a minimum 80% achievement of revenue goals on a quarterly basis. Manages business meetings with guest room requirements falling below ten (10) guest rooms and other accounts as assigned. Determines the customer’s needs, space availability, meeting details and food and beverage requirements.
Evaluate profitability, timeliness, and desirability of the business. Negotiate pricing and aggressively and immediately closes the sale. Responsible for maximizing revenues as well as maximizing function space usage and profitability.
Must practice superior sales skills that result in building/maintaining of professional business relations. Must complete outside sales, telephone prospecting, e-blast promotions regularly. The individual must also have solid knowledge of Delphi and the ability to understand book guidelines, and rate parameters.
Assure coordination of all support service departments (house attendants, banquets, engineering, front office, accounting, housekeeping, communications, etc.) and supervise those departments production of these assigned events. Assure inspection of all meeting arrangements (set-ups, meals, audio-visual operations, and support services) prior to each and every event.
Responsible for communication and following through with hotel management and outside vendors to ensure the sale commitment is fulfilled. Distribute written communications detailing the needs of the customer and sales commitment (resumes, event orders, ect.). Responsible for establishing customer relationships that will encourage repeat business.
Maintain knowledge of all Hotel services/features and hours of operation. Maintain complete knowledge in the use of all office equipment, computer and manual systems.
Set up workstation with necessary supplies and resource materials; maintain cleanliness throughout shift. Greet all individuals arriving at offices courteously and assist with their needs.
Maintains up to date files to ensure proper coordination of sales commitment as well as customer needs. Responsible for preparing reports summarizing daily room night consumption, ADR, and month end revenue for each account. Analyze and identify booking trends and patterns to maximize revenue opportunities. Attend and participate in daily revenue meetings, and other meetings as requested. Act as a liaison with competitors, industry associations, keeping abreast of competitor’s services, facilities, and accounts to ensure the hotel remains in a competitive position.
Prepare contracts, rate proposals and property information databases. Maintain account files including signed contracts with current direct-bill applications. Work with accounts payable to ensure clients on direct billing are paying in a timely manner. Serve as effective liaison between hotel and accounts regarding billing.
Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day. Maintain positive guest relations at all times. Participate in hotel and departmental functions for clients and Associates.
The position requires professional telephone etiquette; answering phones, ensure messages are detailed, legible and accurate. Adopt and contribute to a positive environment and cooperative spirit with the sales and catering division, as well as participation in hotel and departmental functions for clients and Associates.
This position carries a smaller booking goal due to the need for assistance in servicing events booked by the Director of Catering and the Senior Catering Sales Manager.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
The individual must possess a 2-year degree or related experience preferred. Must have a minimum of three (3) years hotel sales experience. The position requires knowledge of MS Products (Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Outlook), and Delphi.
