Additionally, Catering Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Catering Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Catering Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Catering Sales and Venue Manager to join our growing team. In this dynamic role, you will play a key part in driving sales, developing client and venue relationships, and ensuring the flawless execution of catered events.

    Responsibilities:

    Sales

    • Follow up on qualified leads and convert them into profitable catering contracts.
    • Develop and present customized proposals based on client needs and budget.
    • Build strong relationships with clients, understand their vision, and exceed their expectations.
    • Manage all aspects of the catering process, from initial contact to event execution.
    • Oversee event logistics, including menu planning, staffing, equipment rentals, and venue coordination.
    • Ensure smooth communication and collaboration between clients, internal teams (culinary, production, service), and external vendors. Provide recommendations to enhance processes and create efficiencies.
    • Maintain accurate records and reports related to sales and events.

    Leading events

    • Lead on-site staff in the execution of events.
    • Function as the contact for day of needs
    • Check-in all FOH staff as they report to the job site and assign them to team specific job duties.
    • Continuously monitor all elements of event execution to ensure all service staff are upholding responsibilities and performing delegated tasks.
    • Ensure all service personnel have a professional appearance (i.e. uniforms and grooming).
    • Attend job site visits for planning purposes as needed.
    • Attend Event Supervisor meetings and various training sessions as scheduled.
    • Other relevant tasks as assigned by management

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
