Catering Manager jobs in Tennessee
Catering Manager plans, directs, and coordinates catered events for an establishment. Negotiates contracts, assists in the selection of menu items, schedules catering staff, arranges for facilities or equipment, and communicates customer needs to the appropriate personnel. Being a Catering Manager develops and maintains catering accounts by ensuring customer satisfaction before, during, and after the event. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Catering Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Catering Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Catering Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Catering Event Culinary Lead -on-site of events-evenings and weekend availability required:
- Expedite the packing of assigned event
- Coordinate with logistics packing of event trucks
- Arrival on site - Organize on-site kitchen equipment and layout
- Coordinate all culinary requirements on site with the Event Manager
- Manage and direct all onsite culinary personnel
- Direct culinary activity on site to coordinate the time line of the event with the culinary presentations detailed in the BEO.
- Manage clean-up and breakdown of on-site kitchen after event is complete
- Fill out all post-event documents and sign out event culinary personnel
