Catering Manager plans, directs, and coordinates catered events for an establishment. Negotiates contracts, assists in the selection of menu items, schedules catering staff, arranges for facilities or equipment, and communicates customer needs to the appropriate personnel. Being a Catering Manager develops and maintains catering accounts by ensuring customer satisfaction before, during, and after the event. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Catering Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Catering Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Catering Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Duties:
Assist the manager in overseeing daily operations of the restaruant.
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with inquiries or concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist in training and supervising staff members
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
-Previous experience in a similar role is required -3yr. Restaurant experience
-1yr. Management experience
-Line cook experience required
-Open availability, includes weekends and holidays.
-Responsibilities include, but not limited to, managing employees FOH and BOH,
inventory, cash handling and securing the building.
