CATERING SALES MANAGER
fundamental Catering Events is looking to add an experienced Catering Sales Manager to our growing team.
This is a multi-faceted role and we are seeking someone with deep industry experience and client relationships aligned with our business. The candidate will work directly with the Director of Sales and the Operations and Culinary teams to drive catering revenue growth through sales and marketing efforts.
We have an amazing team and growth strategy in place. We're looking to add 1 more qualified professional to help us develop new relationships and sell the fundamental brand. Now that we are fully moved into our brand new facility in Inglewood, the company is positioned to really scale over the next few years and continue delivering exceptional catering and hospitality to all clients!
The Job includes but is not limited to:
*Monday - Friday (~50 hours/week), including office hours, off-site event check-ins, site walkthroughs, client meetings, etc. Minimal, but sometimes required Saturday work.
*Daily tasks to include: creating BEOs, designing event signage and menus, account management and client communication (event change orders, guest count increases, etc).
*Coordinate and schedule any necessary offsite meetings, lunches, and site visits.
*Attend meetings and effectively communicate all pertinent information to Operations and Culinary teams.
*Maintain client relationships through genuine acts of hospitality and appreciation.
*Bring new business development/opportunities and areas for growth to the table.
Primary Responsibilities, Experience, and Skills
*A minimum of 3 years experience in the food/beverage/hospitality/catering industry or equivalent sales position. Offsite catering experience is a huge plus!
*Existing client relationships and contacts
*General knowledge of food/beverage/hospitality/catering industry (both drop-off and full-service catering).
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Highly organized with great attention to detail.
*Strong computer skills (email, google docs/sheets/slides).
*Professional appearance and demeanor.
*Proven customer service satisfaction (references required).
*Access to a reliable car.
*Basic understanding of CA food handling and sanitation requirements.
*Occasional lifting required
