May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Catering Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Responsibilities:
     
    1. **Sales and Business Development:**
    •   Identify and pursue sales opportunities to achieve revenue targets for event spaces and catering services.
    •   Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and other potential customers.
    •   Create and implement sales strategies to drive business growth and maximize revenue.
     
    2. **Event Planning and Coordination:**
    • Work closely with clients to understand their event needs and preferences.
    • Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including menu selection, room setup, audiovisual requirements, and other logistical details.
    • Ensure seamless execution of events by coordinating with internal departments and external vendors.
     
    3. **Customer Service and Relationship Management:**
    • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, anticipating their needs and exceeding their expectations.
    • Address any customer concerns or issues promptly and effectively.
     
    4. **Administrative Tasks:**
    • Prepare and present sales proposals, contracts, and event orders.
    •  Maintain accurate records of sales activity, client interactions, and revenue performance.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and finance, to support overall hotel objectives.
     
    **Qualifications:**
    • Experience in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
    • Proven track record of success in sales, particularly in the hospitality or event industry.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse clientele.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of sales CRM systems preferred.
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
