In this position, you will promote the company and help us find new customers and build and maintain venue and wedding planner relationships. You will also play a part in hiring and event managing 1-2 events per week. Our ideal applicant has both sales and catering experience. We are a fast-growing, family-owned business with ample career growth opportunities. This position can grow into a General Manager or Catering Director position in a couple years. As well as a long-term partnership opportunity.Catering Sales and Event Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
- Find new venues, clients, and planners for our company
- Negotiate contracts
- Training staff
- Help plan the menu and logistics for each event
- Venue site visits
- Rental meetings
- Private and group tastings
- Manage events
- Drive catering truck to and from events
- Manage relationships with repeat customers
Catering Sales Manager Requirements and Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in hospitality (preferred)
- 5 years catering, management, and sales experience
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Extremely organized
- Negotiation skills
- Culinary/food knowledge
- Valid driver’s license and transportation
- Open availability
