Catering Manager - Casino is responsible for operation and execution of the culinary aspects of events at the casino. Coordinates menus, supervises wait staff, and assists in staff training and approving payroll records. Being a Catering Manager - Casino may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Catering Manager - Casino supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Catering Manager - Casino typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     We have an immediate opening for a Catering Manager to join our dynamic team! This position reports to the Commissary Manager.
    Responsibilities & Duties:
    • Hiring, training and supervising catering staff to ensure high quality service standards and presentations are met.
    • Plan and coordinate all aspects of catering, including meeting with clients, service activities, sanitation, and fiscal responsibilities.
    • Meticulously collects, reviews, and organizes all catering orders to ensure products are delivered per guest and Haymarket instructions.
    • Creates driver scheduling and catering production schedules.
    • Oversees and contributes to catering food preparation, presentation, and packaging.
    • Interacts closely with Haymarket retail leadership to ensure guest satisfaction and quickly resolve any issues.
    • Monitoring the inventory of catering stock and supplies and ordering replenishments.
    • Tracking catering labor, food cost, other catering expenses and maintaining accurate records.
    • Adheres to food and health industry regulations and standards.
    • Researching catering trends and promoting competitive catering services.
    • Drives a company vehicle to transport food and/or equipment as requested.
    • Maintains, or ensures maintenance of, a clean and sanitary working environment; maintains equipment cleanliness, repair, and safety standards.
    • Immediately reports safety hazards.
    • Related duties as assigned.
    Requirements:
    • Thorough product, production, and equipment knowledge for all catering items.
    • High energy, enthusiastic, and displays an affinity for Haymarket products, core values, and company philosophy.
    • Ability to:
    • Follow a production schedule and prioritize tasks.
    • Identify and troubleshoot issues and provide appropriate solutions.
    • Visually examine products and quality for freshness.
    • Deliver information in a clear and respectable manner to fellow team members, customers, and vendors.
    • Follow directions and procedures, effective time management and organization skills.
    • Basic math skills, proficient with Apple iWork and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
    • Must maintain a Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and have a clean driving record.
    • Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
    • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
    Physical Requirements
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
    • Standing/walking 6-8 hours.
    • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
    • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
    • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
    • Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezers), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), >90 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
    • Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
    • Ability to use ladders.
