Catering Manager - Casino is responsible for operation and execution of the culinary aspects of events at the casino. Under the direction of the Director of Resort Sales, the incumbent will handle clients that seek to book catering functions, tribal functions, in house functions and Special events for 10 people or more. Prepares all event documentation and coordinates all details with Banquets, Culinary, AV and customer to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout the pre-event, event and post-event phases of the client's functions. Bachelor degree preferred as well as a minimum two (2) years of experience as a hotel group/convention sales manager, catering manager, conference services manager or Banquet Captain/Supervisor. Prior experience detailing weddings, social events and knowledge of wedding wire is preferred. Due to the nature of the business, must be able to work flexible hours which includes nights, weekends, and holidays depending on group business demands and event times. Possesses strong communication skills, verbal and written, along with strong interpersonal skills required to effectively interact with clients, management and other departments to ensure accurate account maintenance and the success of all group details to other departments. Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word and become proficient with department specific computer programs, Delphi, Opera, Passkey and Meeting Matrix.
