DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage custodial operations of all buildings and grounds, including supplies and parts.
- Ensure equipment is inspected and serviced to minimize down time on a preventive maintenance schedule.
- Generate all cleaning supply and chemical orders according to department needs.
- Ensure that all cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment are used according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- Ensure all chemicals used at the facility are non-toxic to microbes and wastewater treatment plant.
- Maintain strict adherence to all applicable OSHA safety rules and regulations.
- Coordinate and supervise the custodial Team Members activities throughout the casino, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness.
- Conduct monthly inspections of all property facilities and prepare reports with recommendations for repair or upgrades.
- Facilitates the flow of information, by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled meetings with all custodial Team Members.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Interviewing, hiring, and training of Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of department records and reports.
- Assist in the formulation of annual facilities budget and revisions.
- Responsible for cleanliness and overall condition of the entire casino.
- Ensure compliance of department policies and procedures.
- Must attend and be certified in all applicable trainings required.
- All other departmental duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate degree required in related field, and 3 years of direct EVS/custodial supervisory experience; or high school diploma, and 7 years’ of progressive EVS/custodial management experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing an EVS/custodial department of 25 or more Team Members, including establishing best practices, policy/procedure development, Team Member development, and sourcing supplies required.
- The minimum age requirement is twenty-one (21).
- Experience in guest service, and quality/process improvement preferred.
- Effective communication and team building skills.
- Demonstrated organizational and management skills.
- Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Understanding of health and safety codes, including knowledge of hazardous materials.
- Must be proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the casino’s insurance carrier.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to perform the essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to obtain and retain a gaming license through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL:
- While performing the duties of this job, the Team Members is required to talk, hear, stand, and sit.
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- The noise level is normally low (office setting) to moderate and high on the casino floor.
- Exposed daily to cigarette smoke, flashing lights, and ringing bells.
- Must be able to perform all essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

HOURS: Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 4:00PM; Hours may vary and some weekends
SALARY: $/hr. / weekly pay / non-overtime eligible
