The Director of Catering Operation’s is to oversee the On and Off Premise Division of Catering to include, logistics department, warehouse team, and Managers. You will be responsible for managing client relations along with ensuring the catering offered to our guest is of superior quality. Additionally, you will be responsible for the following:
Job Duties:
* Coordinates and oversee the process of catering for all off premise, as well as onsite venues.
* Develops and supports the entire process of managing Bone Appetit Hospitality’s catering Standard Operating Procedures.
* Hires trains, and schedules team leaders, and will be actively involved in the development of existing catering staff in service techniques, menu presentation, policies, and procedures.
* Ensures successful operations of catering functions including labor cost controls, food cost control and preparation, transportation, set up, operation, and cleanup of all events.
* Oversite and management of fleet for catering division.
* Coordinate and oversee the financials of catering venues, as well as oversite of budgets for catering division.
* Prioritize events and oversee higher demand events and process through dessert and helping as needed.
* Put out fires where needed at venues and off premise events.
* Nights and weekends a must, including Holidays.
* Hours will vary with each individual event.
* Other duties as assigned by VP of Catering.
Skills/Qualification:
* Bachelor’s Degree is required in Hospitality or Culinary Arts
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality industry including 2 years in management (preferably Catering Management) is required.
* Booking, selecting, and costing menu items, pricing contracts, and resourcing temporary help and equipment experience is key.
* Ability to speak effectively before clients and employees.
* Ability to supervise food preparation, service and cleanup is also essential
