Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, asphalt, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing. We are hiring for the position of Sr. Retail Category Manager (Foodservice or General Merchandise) located in our Dallas, Texas corporate office.

The Sr. Retail Category Manager will lead the strategy for a grouping of retail categories across our 252-store chain, reporting to the SVP Sales, Marketing & Innovation. The Sr. Retail Category Manager will be the one responsible for the pricing and overall promotion of their category portfolio to maximize consumer appeal and increase the sales and profitability of the business while driving sustainable growth. Relationship with vendors and product range management will also be part their duties. The ideal Sr. Retail Category Manager must have extensive experience in understanding consumer demand in the fast-paced retail environment. They must be a self-starter with an internal desire to lead, learn, and grow while possessing a commercial mindset and full comprehension of marketing and sales strategies and principles. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are an absolute must.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Commitment to analyzing data/insights to determine relevant industry/consumer trends
• Maximize Value through short/long-term development strategies for product categories
• Develop entry strategies for new products and exit strategies for unsuccessful products
• Foster trusting relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services
• Place appropriate orders to ensure product availability meets our consumers demands and needs
• Utilize a Growth Oriented approach in determining the positioning of products with a category
• Synergize with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities within a product category
• Act with Integrity and professionalism in all internal/external interactions
• Construct forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory
• Display a Passion for Winning & Excellence in the development of budgets and delivering on revenue & profitability targets for total category portfolio
• Be a champion of a Safety first culture
• Travel: ~40% - Consisting of market visits, trade shows and industry conventions

*We are looking for someone that has a Foodservice background or a General Merchandise background:

General Merchandise / Services

Category responsibilities will include all general merchandise categories, as well as in-store services (air, lottery, ATM, etc.). Will also be responsible for finding new in-store service offerings to expand our business and deliver value to our customers.

Foodservice / QSR

Individual will own all food service categories, as well as manage numerous QSR concepts within our stores. Prior food service / QSR experience a plus.

Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:

• 5 years of related experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Experience understanding and interpreting BI platform outputs
  • Example: Qlik, Tableau, Power BI or equivalent
