Job Overview
We have a newly created opportunity for a Sr. IT Vendor Management Analyst to join our global IT team. This role can be based at our headquarters in Milwaukee, WI or Chicago, IL. This is a hybrid role working a minimum of two days per week onsite at our Milwaukee or Chicago office.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Global Vendor Relationship Management.
- Provides analytical support to Vendor Management team in management of key vendor contractual relationships often involving licensing and cost analytics.
- Develops reporting and helps develop related communication for global Komatsu group companies to align Partners with Komatsu business and IT areas to drive improvement opportunities, mitigate business risks and realize cost opportunities.
- Contract Management.
- Provides analytical support where required for daily contract work, such as cost modeling, and price or metric comparisons.
- Performs level 1 review of incoming agreements as needed.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining reporting related to key vendor metrics, and KPIs related to Vendor Management processes.
- Asset Management.
- Support IT Asset Management processes including accurate recording and maintenance of contract costs, audit requirements, software and hardware license and maintenance renewals, licensing, metrics, and use rights.
- Perform or review analysis supporting alignment with contracted volumes and current and forecasted needs.
- Participates in the monitoring, recording, and tracking of IT assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts, licenses, entitlements, and proper accounting policies.
- Develops reporting on compliance and optimization opportunities and assists with developing communication on these reports delivered to local and international IT leadership teams.
- Financial Management.
- Tracks contract details and related cost allocations by company.
- Monitors and manages cloud costs working with Komatsu group companies to help optimize costs.
- Supports the chargeback of $50M annually to them global group companies.
- Contributes to the overall Opex and Capex budget development.
- Provides analytical support with communication and reporting to the global group companies in support of cost allocation, cost optimization, and ongoing budget development.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5 years of experience working in IT asset management or IT purchasing and procurement capacity.
- Basic understanding of software licensing, cloud cost management, and IT asset and configuration management.
- Experience with any IT asset management, contract lifecycle management, or cloud FinOps/optimization tools a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office tools, Microsoft SharePoint, Adobe, and other common software used in the finance/procurement field.
- Strong analytical, data processing and problem-solving skills including MS Excel experience for reporting. Experience with power BI or similar dashboarding and reporting tools is a plus.
- Effective communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate successfully with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior management.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a diverse team setting as well as independently with minimal error and guidance.
- Strong attention and proven skills to handle variety of requests in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
