A bench chemistry professional whose main responsibility is to perform routine analyses in the designated environmental laboratory. This may include logging in samples, preparing samples, performing analyses, and reporting results. The Senior Analyst is responsible for following all documented procedures, recording all laboratory notes, and elevating technical issues to the laboratory manager. The Senior Analyst works independently using routine, standard and non-routine methods
Essential Functions5 plus years of experience with GC and GCMS instruments running Volatile Organics and Semi-Volatile Organics by GCMS as well as Herbicides, Pesticides and PCBs by GC.
A strong desire for this experience to be in an Environmental Laboratory using EPA methods. This person should be experienced in performing instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory setting. Sitting/Standing and possible light lifting.

Occasional heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 30 lbs. of force may occasionally be required. While performing the duties of this job, good manual dexterity for the use of laboratory equipment is needed.
Use of applicable Personal Protective Equipment is mandatory.
