Additionally, Category Management Analyst, Sr. typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Category Management Analyst, Sr. contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     We are searching for someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. The qualified candidate will have experience with Workers’ Compensation claims handling and OSHA reporting. General knowledge of property and casualty lines of insurance is a plus.  In this position, you will be a part of the team that manages the insurance program for Texas Children’s.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the collection and consolidation of data relating to insurance claims, potential claims and audits.
    • Ensures that all pertinent data is analyzed and reported accurately for review and validation.
    • Acts as a liasion with both internal TCH partners and external insurance carriers to effectively report and manage claims.
    • Provides required data to State and outside agencies to meet deadlines in compliance with insurance requirements.
    • Maintains statistical trending of losses and other management data related to claims.

    Qualifications

    • Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
    • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred, H.S. Diploma or GED acceptable
    • 5 years of experience in worker's compensation and OSHA reporting and/or professional liability claims, brokerage account service, or analytics
    • Familiarity with medical, business and community collaborative efforts, risk financing and insurance is desired
    • Ability to competently utilize computer software systems for database management and analysis
    • Ability to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and organizational skills
    • Proficient use of Excel spreadsheets (graphing and pivot tables)
