The Sr. Category Manager of Ethnic is responsible for overall strategy across the ethnic category to drive sales and achieve targets. This role researches and conducts category reviews to assess performance across customer segments, stores, markets and relevant competition. This role translates consumer segment data & insights into specific category assortments, merchandising, advertising/promotions and pricing strategies. Essential Duties and Key Accountabilities:
· Develop and implement customized strategies across the Ethnic category for assortment, pricing and promotions
· Plans, designs, and executes category initiatives specific to Ethnic food category
· Review and analyze trends and opportunities based on consumer need to drive improvement with regards to product selection, inventory levels, sales volume, and customer satisfaction
· Collaborates proactively across merchandising support teams to maximize ethnic product and sales movement
· Provide detail category plans and drive execution for Our Brands across all store departments
· Serve as the primary interface with suppliers in day-to-day interactions, and effectively manage these relationships to support banner sales and profit goals
· Develop a portfolio of customer-centric product offerings for assigned categories that promotes the unique banner identity and ensures that the banner is relevant in every market and drives customers to the stores
· Responsible for all aspects of product life cycle management to include understanding market demands, technology trends, and the competitive environment for assigned categories
· Through analytics, store visits, and other research elements, determines future product needs for assigned categories
· Follow all safety policies and procedures per regulatory agencies and company policies and guidelines
· Other duties as assigned
