    SUMMARY

    The primary responsibilities of the Identity Access Management Analyst will be following and enforcing the Identity Access Management (IAM) program at First Interstate Bank. This position will assist the Management and IAM Teams with the ongoing implementation of the IAM program. The primary goal of this position will be to assist in continuous maturation of our security posture with regards to ensuring appropriate application and system access, adherence to IT General Controls, and SOX compliance. This will include management tool administration, integration, and automation as well ongoing entitlement access reviews to enforce the principal of least privilege.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Plan, schedule and conduct periodic access reviews working with the IAM SR Analyst and/or the Manager of Identity and Access Management, and Director of IT Compliance Risk and Security.
    • Assist in assessing and resolving potential access and security control issues to minimize business impact and reduce risk exposure (for example: excessive privileges relative to job duty or separation of duties, escalate as required).
    • Participate in internal and external audit activities by gathering and/or coordinating deliverables for necessary evidence and review and maintain documentation for future audits.
    • Review controls and make recommendations on improvements to reduce or eliminate risk. Work with the IAM Manager and/or IAM Analyst SR to Provide consultation on current state process, procedure, and workflow as related to identity, and make recommendation for future state improvement.
    • Identify, document and develop process improvements and streamline systems access requests for the identity lifecycle including hire, transfer and termination processes.
    • Assist with implementing automation the provisioning and de-provisioning processes where possible.
    • Understand and help manage and maintain Identity Access Management and Governance Systems and processes to support the IAM team and the FIB organization.
    • Provide ongoing guidance and leadership in the development and maintenance of user roles/responsibilities while implementing a RBAC (Role Based Access Control) model and the principal of least privilege, where possible.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; building and maintaining professional networks; participating in professional organizations.
    • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential and secure.
    • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
    • Attends meetings and serves as an IAM liaison to the business units, as requested
    • Performs additional duties and assignments as requested and assigned.

    Education/Certification:

    BS or BA with a technical focus required Identity Management and Governance training and certification is desired.

    Experience Required:

    2 years of related experience in the Information Technology industry. IAM focused experience within an enterprise environment is preferred. At minimum experience administering an Active Directory environment within a high security least privilege organization. Banking experience is preferred.

    Knowledge of:

    • Foundational experience with IAM and IGA systems and frameworks
    • Experience with enterprise directory and directory integration services (AD, LDAP, ADFS). General knowledge of infrastructure security, including Windows, Unix/Linux, desktop and mobile Scripting and use of PowerShell, C or other automation techniques.
    • Must be detail oriented and process driven Emerging technology trends.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Evaluate critical systems, prioritize workflow and determine solutions.
    • Manage small to large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager Coach, review, and delegate work to lower-level coworkers on the IAM team.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Interpret and apply laws, regulations, and policies.
    • Provide technical assistance and mentorship where applicable Read and understand technical manuals.
    • Work for extended time at keyboard/terminal
    • Maintain effective working relationships with supervisor and coworkers Work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
    • Investigate, understand, and solve problems that are often difficult and complex.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Strong communication skills are critical to allow effective communication with customers to build positive, professional relationships and to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, vendors, and internal customers.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

    We offer a competitive total compensation package including base salary and benefits. The anticipated pay range for this position is $63,768 to $105,217 per year (in CO & WA), and depends on a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, education, and geographic location. Benefits available for this position include, but are not limited to, medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability benefits and life insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings account, employee assistance program, 401(k), Paid Time Off (new hires accrue at .069 per hours worked which equates to approximately 18 days per year inclusive of paid sick time) and up to 11 paid Federal holidays.
