    What You'll Do

    You'll manage all activities related to the daily operations of the auction. Here's what that'll look like day-to-day:

    • Helping develop and execute operational business plans.
    • Analyzing expenses and implementing procedures to improve efficiency.
    • Working with commercial departments to schedule and prepare vehicles for sale.
    • Supervising and developing Auction Operations staff.
    • Meeting with leaders to review and resolve any Auction operation problems.
    • Assisting with timely feedback to customer inquiries.
    • Monitoring work volumes and staffing levels to ensure efficiency, quality, and effective customer service.
    • Reviewing departmental performance against key performance indicators and developing strategies for improvement.
    • Partnering with various support teams (such as finance, HR, and sales) to ensure operations align with company objectives.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.


    Who You Are

    You're a skilled leader who can handle the nitty-gritty while still seeing the big picture. Here's more on what you have to offer:

    Minimum:

    • A high school diploma/GED and 14 years of experience in the automotive industry or auction business. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience; a master's degree and 8 years of experience; or a PhD and 5 years of experience.
    • Safe drivers are needed; a valid driver's license is required.
    • Effective management, decision-making, organizational and communication skills.


    Preferred:

    • Reconditioning and/or body shop experience.
    • Proficiency with computer software, including AS400.


    Physical requirements:

    • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
    • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.
    • Vision abilities include close, distance, color, and depth perception.
    • Occasional exposure to weather conditions, fumes, and noise.
