    • The following duties described reflects the full performance level GS-12.
    • Serve as the DCAA Management Information System (DMIS) primary monitor and administrator.
    • Develops and conducts auditor and administrative staff training associated with DMIS and all information management and/or administrative systems.
    • Identify, evaluate and document new or revised information requirements. Perform Records Liaison Officer (RLO) functions responsible for official file and file retention compliance with DoD, Federal government, and agency regulations and policies.
    • Advises management; monitors and tracks activities, data collection and analysis; and prepares responses to Headquarters requests, communications, and information.

    Qualifications

    One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

    For the GS-09 level: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-07 or equivalent level. Specialized experience is defined as assisting with maintaining an information management program with significant supervision. Examples of specialized experience include: utilizing management information systems to extract and utilize data; some knowledge of MS Power BI and Excel; understanding and interpreting regulations, guidance, policies, and procedures.

    For the GS-11 level: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-09 or equivalent level. Specialized experience is defined as assisting with maintaining an information management program with limited supervision. Examples of specialized experience include: utilizing management information systems to extract and utilize data; working knowledge of MS Power BI and Excel; understanding and interpreting regulations, guidance, policies, and procedures.

    For the GS-12 level: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 or equivalent level. Specialized experience is defined as independently maintaining an information management program. Examples of specialized experience include: utilizing management information systems to extract and utilize data; extensive knowledge of MS Power BI and Excel; understanding and interpreting regulations, guidance, policies, and procedures.


    Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    Substitution of Education for Experience

    For the GS-09 level: Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education or master's or equivalent graduate degree may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement when education is directly related to the position being filled. To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (http://www2.ed.gov/admins/finaid/accred/index.html).

    For the GS-11 level: A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.     For The GS-12 level: Education is not substitutable for experience at the GS-12 level.

      Next steps
