SUMMARY
The Manager, Behavioral Health reports to the Unit Director and oversees a 31 bed Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit, Crisis Intervention Services, and the hospital Behavioral Health Consult team. This position is responsible and accountable for organizing and directing all aspects of these services and works collaboratively with the Unit Director and hospital departments in supporting operations and patient throughput. The Manager, Behavioral Health is responsible and accountable in implementing the unit's overall strategic plan. As a member of the healthcare team, demonstrates nursing expertise as a clinician, coordinator, educator and innovator of care and services. This position provides over site of the department in the absence of the Unit Director. The Manager, Behavioral Health provides leadership and management in the areas of customer satisfaction, provision of safe and effective care, finance, human resources, communication, patient advocacy, performance, leadership and professional development.
