Casino Pit Manager manages and directs the daily activities for an assigned area of the casino. Surveys the casino floor and looks for players that are cheating and removes suspected card counters. Being a Casino Pit Manager observes gaming personnel for evidence of theft or ties to dishonest players. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Casino Pit Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Casino Pit Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. High school diploma or GED plus five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in Table Games. Including two (2) years’ experience as a Dealer and three (3) years’ experience in Table Games Operations in a supervisory capacity; or equivalent combination of experience and education. Two (2) year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. Must know basic strategy and be able to pass a basic strategy exam. Must be able to pass a math exam that includes specific player rating scenarios. Must be 18 years of age or older. No felony, theft or stealing convictions. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation and obtain and maintain Gaming License; and to include the following:

While performing the duties of this job, the team member regularly is required to stand and walk; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The team member occasionally is required to sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
Work is generally performed in a casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level. Evenings, graveyards, holidays and/or weekend work may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may also be required.
