Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is looking for a positive, self-motivated, enthusiastic Assistant General Manager with a passion for service. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Leadership and Team Management:
• Assist the General Manager with interviews and onboarding new employees.
• Lead, inspire, and motivate a diverse team to consistently achieve high levels of performance.
• Contribute to the training and development of staff on policies and procedures.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, open communication, and a commitment to excellence.

• Operational Excellence:
• Support the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring seamless service and a positive guest experience.
• Assist the General Manager with staff schedules and monitoring employee work hours.
• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures to maintain quality and consistency in food preparation and quality, service, cleanliness and safety.
• Coordinate daily front- and back-of-house restaurant operations.
• Assist the General Manager with monitoring and managing inventory levels, ordering, and vendor relationships to optimize cost efficiency.

• Financial Management:
• Ensure compliance with all financial and accounting policies and procedures, including daily cash out and payroll.
• Assist the General Manager with controlling operational costs and reducing waste.

• Customer Service:
• Address customer concerns promptly and professionally, seeking opportunities to exceed guest expectations.
• Gathers guests' feedback on product quality and service levels.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Assistant General Manager in a high-volume restaurant setting, preferably within the barbecue or casual dining industry.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including kitchen management, inventory control, and financial management.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and motivate a high-performing team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proven track record of success in delivering exceptional customer service.
• Well-versed in food safety and hygiene practices.
• Proficiency in financial literacy
• Competency in effectively managing inventory.
• ServSafe certified or equivalent required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,080.46 - $42,247.44 per year
