Casino Pit Manager manages and directs the daily activities for an assigned area of the casino. Surveys the casino floor and looks for players that are cheating and removes suspected card counters. Being a Casino Pit Manager observes gaming personnel for evidence of theft or ties to dishonest players. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Casino Pit Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Casino Pit Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     The Casino Host is responsible primarily for the development, growth, maintenance, retention, and reactivation of the customer base, with particular attention to high value guests.  The candidate will be responsible for contacting both a large group of assigned customers as well as guests showing the ability to grow their worth, making decisions regarding customer accounts or issues of significance, maintaining positive relationships with the most valuable of guests, along with assisting other property departments and their guests with marketing promotions, entertainment, food and beverage events, etc.  The Casino Host will use on and off property amenities, various methods of statistical analysis and independent decision making to increase guest loyalty and gaming revenues.            

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Strong guest service and relationship building skills required to increase frequency, length of visit, and overall loyalty to the property.
    2. Contacting high trip and high ADT players to encourage increased attendance, time on property, or to pass along information or invitations to property events, while determining customer worth and company reinvestment policy to the guest.
    3. Providing complimentary use of amenities based on company guidelines. The Casino Host will be expected to use discretion and independent judgment with respect to the guest’s worth to determine what complimentary benefits they are eligible for.
    4. Resolving guest issues or problems by leveraging property amenities and complimentary offerings to ensure guest loyalty and maintaining the guest’s worth to the property.
    5. Making recommendations to improve offerings, marketing or other promotions, small player parties, and other possibilities influenced by company guidelines.
    6. Team oriented yet able to work independently, strong computer skills (Aristocrat, OASIS and MS Office experience preferred),
    7. Highly self-motivated to complete and exceed set goals
    8. Highly organized and detail oriented on a personal and team basis, and able to demonstrate excellent common sense and practical reasoning consistently.
    9. Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

     

    All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.

     

     

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    • A minimum of two years’ guest service experience in previous job history.
    • Casino experience preferred but not required.
    • High School Diploma or GED required.

     

    LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

     

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

     

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
    • Must be able to learn Aristocrat’s OASIS casino management system.
