Duties:
- Interact with customers on a daily basis. Ring them out through the checkout.
- Stock shelves, racks, and displays with new merchandise.
- Ensure that products are properly labeled, displayed correctly, and priced.
-Drink all the coffee/tea that you want till you explode
- Rotate stock to maintain freshness and minimize waste
- Monitor inventory levels of items and restock as necessary. Taking initiative is important.
- Assist customers in locating products and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the stockroom and sales floor area
- Follow safety protocols and Valley Discount Groceries Procedures at all times
Skills:
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently ( Have a sense of urgency)
- Excellent attention to detail ( You should notice things and be observant)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment( Don't be offended if you're pulled in two or three directions. Ex: Customer is ready to check out and you're in the middle of stocking)
- Multilingual skills are a plus, multi-tasking is essential.
- Knowledge of phone etiquette for assisting customers with inquiries or directing them to the appropriate department ( Super easy)
- Familiarity with retail sales is a plus ( encourage people to try products you like)
- Proficiency in operating point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling cash transactions
