Cashier Manager - Grocery Store manages a team of store cashiers. Responsible for adequate staffing to ensure that customer wait time is minimized. Additionally, Cashier Manager - Grocery Store is responsible for collecting contents of cash registers at the end of each shift and delivering funds to the office. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Cashier Manager - Grocery Store supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Cashier Manager - Grocery Store typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Responsibilities include mentoring and empowering our front and back of house staff, managing day to day restaurant operations and guest relations.
Other Responsibilities:
- Ensuring operational areas of FOH & BOH are managed to the company’s standards
- Hold all employees accountable while adhering to company operational procedures
- Understand and use financial indictors to measure productivity
- Effectively hire, train schedule and develop staff according to team and business needs
- Respond to all guest and staff communications/feedback in a effective and timely manner
- Effectively use and operate all necessary tools, utensils, equipment and software (for example, restaurant management software, etc.)
Must have a flexible work schedule (includes weekends brunch, lunch and dinner) and reliable transportation.
