FUNCTION
The Material Flow Analyst is responsible for the developing an analytical method to quantify flows and stocks of materials or substances in a well-defined system. They will also aide in the design and improvement of the process of moving goods, parts, and services across the value chain, manufacturing regions, or a factory, as well as the disposal of materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Objectives of Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels for production needs.
- Implement strategies to minimize excess inventory and reduce carrying cost.
Supply Chain Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate timely and accurate deliveries of materials to point of use.
Data Analysis:
- Collect and analyze data related to material flow, inventory levels, and production schedules.
- Use data insights to make informed decisions and implement changes for improvement.
- Analysis of A/B/C classifications to ensure that parts are in the optimum location for usage.
- Ability to identify potential backflushing errors and aiding in correction of inventory affected.
Documenting and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of material movements, inventory levels, and other relevant data.
- Generate regular reports on material flow performance and key performance indicators.
