The Director of Project Management role

You will define the tools that will deliver the promise of autonomy!

Edge Case Research is expanding our Product Development Team.  We are currently looking for a Director of Project Management to oversee the planning, implementation and delivery of multiple projects . Your work will touch several teams and customers as you help build the vision for our suite of systems and safety engineering and risk management products.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee multiple projects by providing leadership, managing risk, and ensuring all projects begin and end on schedule and remain in budget
• Organize team schedules and provide teams with deadlines for different stages throughout the project’s lifecycle
• Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
• Lead as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in sync
• Delegate tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them
• Communicate with clients about the status of their project 
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to assess feasibility of feature ideas
• Work across the organization to validate product concepts against strategy and business needs
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment

What You’ll Bring:

• Authorization to work in the United States is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
• 5 years of experience working in project management
• 7 years working in software development or other related field
• Proven track record of successful team leadership
• Excellent lateral and vertical communication skills
• Focus on continuous improvement and learning

Exceptional Candidates Will Have:

•  Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
