Carpenter jobs in Ohio
Carpenter constructs, maintains, and remodels buildings or related structures. Installs, fixes, or modifies all aspects of a building, including walls, ceilings, floors, and stairs, as well as related structures like railings, doors, windows, and air conditioning systems. Being a Carpenter follows blueprints and plans to ensure requirements and specifications are met. Observes all worksite safety procedures and guidelines. Additionally, Carpenter inspects buildings to determine repair that needs to be done. An apprenticeship and/or formal training may be required. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Carpenter works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. - Accuracy taking measurements and calculating the size and amount of material needed for a project..
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be able to pass a Pre-employment drug screening (in some cases)
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 50Ibs.
- Reliable transportation a plus.
- Must be able to work in OH and KY.
Benefits and Perks
Compensation: $21 an hour
