Carpenter constructs, maintains, and remodels buildings or related structures. Installs, fixes, or modifies all aspects of a building, including walls, ceilings, floors, and stairs, as well as related structures like railings, doors, windows, and air conditioning systems. Being a Carpenter follows blueprints and plans to ensure requirements and specifications are met. Observes all worksite safety procedures and guidelines. Additionally, Carpenter inspects buildings to determine repair that needs to be done. An apprenticeship and/or formal training may be required. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Carpenter works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Machine Operator B on 2nd shift in our Bedding Department at our Lakeland, FL manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for safely operating machinery and equipment used to manufacture, package, and shipping our products to both internal and external customers as defined by a daily production schedule.
Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operational excellence. The successful candidate will be expected to communicate and coordinate with Carpenter Employees of all levels to safely and efficiently meet daily production demands.

Shift hours are currently 3:30 pm - 12:00 am for 2nd shift, mandatory overtime determined by the workflow is applicable.
